➤ Workshop- Hospital Management

TISSAA along with Centre for Hospital Management, (SHSS, TISS), and MSME had jointly organized a workshop on Hospital Management in Pune, Indore, Bhopal and Hyderabad. TISSians from these cities conducted the session at the workshop. Over forty participants enrolled for the workshops which gave them overall information on

• Introduction to Hospital Management, Hospital Administration & overall management.

• WHO Standards, NABH Accreditation & Norms

• Hygiene, Safety, Patient Relationship, Medico Legal Aspects

The participants were given a certificate from the government of India.

➤ Workshop- Advanced Excel

TISSAA organized a two-day Executive Workshop on Advanced Excel on 7th & 8th July 2018. The workshop was conducted under the aegis of Skills Building Workshop Series launched by TISSAA. The workshop was organized to offer an opportunity to the alums, students and staff of TISS to equip themselves with advance skills of Excel software. The workshop was well attended. There were 55 participants in the workshop while the workshop was planned only for 40 participants. Over 26 TISS students, 1 former faculty and 7 alums participated in the workshop with many sharing positive views on the workshop. The main objective of the training programme was to provide skills enhancing training to alums and students.

➤ Workshop- Photography & Videography

TISSAA conducted a Photography workshop, which was attended by over ten participants. These participants later did a photoshoot of TISSian Dr Blasing Rajput and also filmed a movie. The same group has given hands -on training on Videography also.

➤ Workshop- Knowledge Sessions

TISSAA had facilitated an interactive session on “Implication of Supreme Court directions regarding rehabilitation of mentally ill persons” on 19th July at the Mumbai Press Club. Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and Mumbai Press Club under the Knowledge Series had jointly organized the session. This session received an excellent response from the media as leading daily The Indian Express carried two reports of the event, while DNA, Asian Age, the Wire, Governance Now, Mumbai Live, Loksatta, Tarun Bharat Sanwad along with other dailies had carried one report. Hindi daily Mahanagar carried a picture of the Director being felicitated by the Press Club Secretary. Some news channels even reported about the event. The news reports were posted on various social media platforms of TISSAA. Following the media meet we have also been requested by several journalists for an appointment with the Director. Office bearers of the Press Club have also expressed that they would like to organize such types of events in collaboration with TISS and TISSAA in the future.
